Participation is restricted to Muslim women normally resident in the UK who will be aged at least 18 by 31st July 2009. No photographs will be taken while sports are being played. Only female referees and officials will be present at the Games

Basketball at the MWSF
The MWSF has been organising training sessions for basketball since 2003 however it was only in 2006 that the team truly took off!
Since then the team has been growing from strength to strength with squads now training in London and Birmingham.
Through MWSF activities, such as our inaugural Basketball Tournament and Eid Sports Festival in 2007 we have also made contact with a number of other Muslim women’s teams throughout the country, including Elite Youth in East London and the Muslimah Rockets in Reading.
With player numbers on the increase and regular matches & tournaments being held/attended, the only way for our basketball team is UP!
