Participation is restricted to Muslim women normally resident in the UK who will be aged at least 18 by 31st July 2009. No photographs will be taken while sports are being played. Only female referees and officials will be present at the Games

TABLE AFTER ROUND ROBIN
The final between Force & MWSF was a close call. In the round robin, Force had overpowered MWSF beating them quite comfortably. It was up to MWSF to show Force what they were made of and prove they deserved to be there.
Like a tennis ball at Wimbledon, back & forth the teams went. Force scoring the first few baskets making it look like history was going to repeat itself. But MWSF didn’t take this lying down. Fighting hard for each other MWSF started to pull it back. By half time only a single point separated the teams.
The second half started off much the same as the first. This time however, the experience of Force started to shine through. Whilst the MWSF managed to keep their defence in good form, fowls & the struggle to convert baskets started to take its toll. With speed, power & accuracy, Force started to pull away. Whilst the MWSF fought nobly to the final whistle, nothing could stop Force from claiming the very first MWSF Basketball Title. WELL DONE FORCE!

The very first MWSF Basketball Tournament took place on Saturday 10th March 2007. It was a fantastic event with five teams participating from throughout the UK.
The first round was a round robin in which all the teams went head to head. The teams had only 2 halves lasting 7 mins each to prove who was the better. With the final at stake & the chance to claim the very first MWSF Basketball title, the competition was hot! The teams fiercely battled it out to win points to be in the top two for that chance to be in the Final!
