When the MWSF was set up, it was purely about identifying elite level talent within the female Muslim community who would represent Britain at the Women’s Islamic Games.  We moved on from this aim in 2005 and the next 9 years brought us to a strong position as a leading deliverer of sporting opportunities at the grassroots level.   The MWSF now continues its vital work at both the grassroots and elite levels in order to achieve our aim of increasing the involvement of Muslim women and girls in sport.
